Julia Young is a co-founder of Facilitate.com, developer of web meeting software whose signature product, FacilitatePro, offers collaboration tools for innovative thinking and decision making. Julia has over 20 years of experience as a facilitator and process consultant, the last fifteen of which have been focused on the integration of collaboration technology into group processes. Combining the logical mind of an engineer and a facilitator's attention to group dynamics, Julia seeks to explore how technology can augment the effectiveness of work teams.

At Facilitate.com, Julia provides key input to the design and usability of the company's software, and leads the meeting design consulting team. Julia often works one on one with corporate, education, government and non-profit clients to design high impact events that integrate highly effective group processes. Clients include the California Public Utilities Commission, Northrop Grummond, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Norwegian Cruise Line, Lockheed Martin Corporation and many more.

Julia has worked extensively developing programs and conferences for the International Association of Facilitators. She regularly runs online webinars about building effective virtual teams and acts as a trainer and coach to other facilitators as they take their first steps into the world of online facilitation.

Prior to founding Facilitate.com, Julia worked as a senior management consultant for Gemini Consulting, helping government organizations and large corporations achieve sustained competitive advantage. She began her career as an HR Manager in the high tech industry, coaching managers on how to develop high performance teams.

Julia holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from King's College London and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
